A s m a l l centre of great craftsmanship with
a cultural hinterland and traditions rooted in the land and
in woodworking. Sculptures of country art and typical Aosta
Valley furniture, reworked by an expert hand with imagination
and originality. Here you will find objects of great interest
capable of satisfying connoisseurs and curious alike. But
Saint-Nicolas also has a rich literary culture. The Centre
d'Etudes Francoprovençales plays host to linguistic
and ethnographic conferences and its library provides detailed
documentation on the Alpine civilisation. Exhibitions of local
crafts and photographic exhibitions can be visited at the
Museo Cerlogne which houses a collection of works by the dialect
poet Jean-Baptiste Cerlogne.
